This storage shed looks great and is not that complicated to assemble for a novice and should be rather simple for a professional. Good instructions. The quality is great as well. Once I needed the help of customer service and they were great as well. very helpful and shipped a replacement part for the back wall immediately out as it was damaged.
Biggest disappointment – Lowes stored the kit incorrectly outside (says on the package to store inside). When it arrived everything was soaking wet. Needless to state, not good for a wood product! Sad for Lowes! As mentioned before, Heartland’s Customer Service was awesome and accommodating to make things right. Thank you!
All in all I would buy it again and recommend this storage shed.

I’m a 50 yr old woman, and I just built this shed. I move a bit slow and was worn out each day. It took me 4 days to build, roof, paint, and install lock hardware. Only needed a little help to set the two large walls in place and to set the doors. 90% on this build was solo.

Day 1 – started late. Built floor, and two large walls. Set walls in place and braced.
Day 2 – Set the rafters, side walls, roof deck, mounted doors, and nailed on all trim.
Day 3 – Placed drip edge, tar paper, and shingles.
Day 4 – Painted exterior with 2 coats of paint, and installed door stops/locks.

I still plan on painting the inside. Also, I don’t want to deal with all the nails from the roof on the inside, so I plan on installing a 1/4″ thick plywood ceiling and will use quarter round moulding to trim it out. To install that and paint inside, I expect one more day.

I’m quite pleased with this little shed. It is the perfect size for all my garden equipment. I painted it to match the siding on my home, and used leftover paint from when my home was painted. Only thing I was disappointed about on this shed, the lumber was extremely dry and the ends split in several spots. Not enough to hinder the build, but annoying. I do highly recommend using pneumatic tools to build this. I bought a nail gun to add to my tool collection. It was an arm saver.

The directions were clear and concise. Some of the lumber markings were not very clear. In order to sort the kit, I had to measure a lot of items to make sure I had the correct piece. When it came to the point of installing the locks/handle, adding some info to the directions to suggest using a 1/2″ wood drill bit would be helpful. Also, I drilled pilot holes first when screwing the weather strip boards on. I used wood clamps to hold the pieces while screwing it together.

All in all, lovely little shed and I would absolutely buy it again.
