I am pleased with our shed. Originally, I was most unhappy; however Lowes and Heartland rectified major issues with my original install. It has been replaced, quickly and for that I am thankful. I do believe that you can rely on Heartland to “do the right thing.”

Overall I would buy this again in a minute. I got a great deal on it and I was able to find additional 2X3s on craigslist to supplement the frame. I used hurricane ties to reinforce it too. I would have preferred 2×4 construction but that is part of it being affordable. I used Behr barn and fence white paint at $15/gallon and added gable vents. It took a day to build it, and a day to do the roof and paint.

    Very good value shed.

Love everything about it. Well built out of quality materials.

  4. Michael Luck Jr.

This shed was extremely easy to build. I did almost all of it by myself, I just needed some help putting the walls up once I assembled them. The shed is very large and the storage loft is an excellent addition. The shed is extremely customizeable, if you feel like adding anything to it. Once assembled and in place the shingles were very easy to put on and it was pretty easy to paint. Since it already comes with primer on everything, it cuts out a time consuming step. I painted everything once I had the shed completely assembled, but it could also be painted prior to assembly. I am extremely happy with this purchase and now that I have been using the shed for about a year I realize I wouldn’t have picked any other shed.

This is a decent quality shed, it really is. And it looks great. My contractor cousin helped my husband and I install this, and it was mostly done in one day. Had we been able to prep and level the area ahead of “Shed Binding Day” we probably would have been able to complete it. However, we did run into some issues.

    * The “pressure treated” wood floor frame does not appear to be pressure treated at all. There is a greenish hue that has been stained, painted, or dyed; however, the tell-tale signs of standard pressure treated wood was not present. Because of this, and the weight in which would be stored in the shed, we opted to buy 2X6 beams and build our own floor. Also, the directions showed that the floor beams were going to be about 1.5-2 feet apart. We didn’t like that, so we made ours 1foot apart instead. This has made the floor sturdy enough to park a car on.

    * The directions… these were a headache. Yes, they can be followed. And yes, they will produce a great product. But more explanation would be helpful. It didn’t make sense to my cousin. Maybe because the assembly isn’t straightforward like he’s used to when building houses, but he was cursing the instructions pretty much the entire day. We were able to get it all out together right though.

*The walls are assembled separately. Get help. Don’t do this alone. They’re heavy. If you have a nail gun or power drill, use them. But most importantly, use help.

Overall, it’s good. The materials given are great quality for the price of the shed (with the exception of the floor frame). I would rather have the shingles included in the kit than the floor frame personally. I probably would have given 4 stars if not for the directions and confusing assembly.

It’s hard to rate something when you can’t get it I bought this product on the 8th of may it’s now the 14th of June the local installation people keep putting me off and don’t even have the decency to call and let me know that they can’t make it so if you live in the area around Ogden, Utah and buy one of these products be prepared to install it yourself

  7. David Harrell

Simple and easy to understand but to be honest I’d be ashamed to say I was the person cutting the boards because they can’t read a tape measure, every cut is off at least 1/8 – 1/4 of an inch
